Paul, one of the founders of this group, came up with the name as a tribute to a great friend who died. But it is not simply eulogising a nice person. It is actually not really about Helen... it is about you, me, us. It is about who we could all be.
It is meant to provoke the question "Who is Helen?"
So that we can give you the answer
"We are all Helen."
Helen was a real person. A lovely friend. A great colleague. An inspiring human.
But we all know "Helen", she is an idea.
A thought - about who we might be.
A belief in a better world, where people do more than talk about their opinions.
A world where people simply do more.
Are more.
Live more.
"I am Helen" works with schools, organisations and communities to remind people of their power and help them be the beautiful person they were born to be - more often.
